Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85

A splendid example of Spyker's first-generation models - the short wheelbase Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 was created especially to celebrate the company's involvement in the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 2002.

The 'LM85' name reflects the starting number of Spyker's GT2 race cars at Le Mans and the road car sports a GT2 inspired livery.

Highlighting the Le Mans theme, only 24 examples of the Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 will be manufactured, each owner will be invited to the 24 Hours race as a VIP guest of Spyker and each will receive a special Chronoswiss 24 Hours Pilot Watch.

V8 power and sleek aerodynamics deliver a 300 kph top speed

Beneath its racing-inspired aluminium body, the LM85 features Spyker's trademark lightweight all-aluminium spaceframe structure and fully independent suspension by double wishbones front and rear.

Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre Audi petrol engine. This highly responsive 90 degree V8 powerunit generates 400 ps at 6,800 rpm and an immense wave of torque with 480 Nm at just 3,500 rpm. An excellent power-to-weight ratio ensures that Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 accelerates from 0-to-100 kph in just 4.5 seconds and goes on to reach a top speed of 300 kph.

Drive to the rear wheels is transferred through a manual six-speed Getrag gearbox and a Drexler limited slip differential.

The combination of Audi power with a well balanced chassis (43/57% front/rear weight distribution), rear wheel drive, and Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering guarantee supercar performance. Appropriately, the immensely powerful braking system is designed and supplied by AP Racing.

Hand-crafted, all-black cabin and a unique owner's gift

The Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 is finished in a distinctive burnt almond orange colour with the contrasting Gun Metal 'S' logo and charcoal-tinted polycarbonate roof panels. The orange contrasts strikingly with the gun metal door mirrors, natural carbon-fibre rear spoiler, GT2 windscreen header-band and black powder-coated alloy wheels.

Inside, the LM85's cabin exhibits boasts the signature Spyker attention to detail, with the seats, door panels, centre tunnel, roof lining and dashboard top finished in black leather or Alcantara® echoing the low-reflection interior of the racing model. The dashboard, which is finished in turned aluminium, displays a personalised LM85 serial plaque.

The cabin's high quality leather has stitching in orange and the unique fire-proof floor mats are finished with orange piping and an embroidered LM85 logo.

Every Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 owner receives a special edition Spyker Chronoswiss 24H Pilot Watch with an orange crocodile strap and the car's unique serial number engraved on the case of this exquisite time piece.

For owners wishing to fully embrace the link between the Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 road car and the GT2 racer, Spyker offer two 'Sticker' sets - the racing number '85' plus driver's name and national flag, or a complete replica set of all the 2009 Le Mans sponsors logos.
