Holden Captiva is the Australian name of the Chevrolet Captiva (S3X) developed by GM Daewoo's design center in Incheon and is based on GM Theta platform.
Holden have confirmed that Holden’s new sports utility vehicle will be called Captiva and will be powered by the 3.2-litre V6 all-alloy engine made by Holden in Port Melbourne.
Captiva will be sold by Holden as a five or seven seat vehicle and will include Electronic stability program (ESP) and an active all-wheel-drive system. Rumours persist amongst Australian motoring journalists that the vehicle will also be available with an optional Turbo Diesel engine.
